Ingredient :
- Potato : 4 pcs large
- Coriander leaves ; 1 tbsp
- Ginger : ½ inch
- Green chili (chopped) : 2-3 pcs
- Red chili powder : ¼ tsp
- Coriander powder : ½ tsp
- Cumin powder : ½ tsp
- Chaat masala powder : ¼ tsp
- Dry mango powder : ¼ tsp
- Salt to taste
- Corn flour : 2 tbsp
- Oil : to fry
- Coriander (chopped) : ½ cup
Method :
- wash and pressure cook the potatos for 6 whistles.
- Remove the skin of the potatos and mash them using potato masher.
- Refrigerate the mashed potatos this for 15 minutes.
- Add finely chopped coriander leaves, finely chopped green chili and finely chopped or grated ginger.
- Also add red chili powder, coriander powder, chaat masala, dry mango powder, cumin powder and salt to taste.
- Add corn flour to bind the potatoes mixture.
- Make equal sized tikkis with the potato mixture using your hand.
- Add oil in a pan and shallow fry the tikkis on both sides by flipping it after one side is cooked.
- serve hot with raita, green chutney and tamarind chutney.
Tips :
- You can add onion of your choice.
- You can use butter or ghee to roast the tikki.
