Pizza Base (Home Made





Timing :

  • Preparation time : 5 minutes
  • cooking time : 15 minutes
  • Total time : 20 minutes


Ingredient :


  • Plain flour : 1 cup
  • Curd : ½ cup
  • Baking soda : ½ tsp
  • Baking powder : ½ tsp
  • Olive oil : 1 tbsp

Other Ingredient :

  • Plain flour for dusting
  • Salt for backing : 2 cup



Method : 


  • First of all, take a pressure cooker and lay a layer of salt on its base and place a wire stand followed by perforated plate. 
  • Now Heat the cooker on medium flame and cover this cooker until we make the dough.
  • Then take a bowl and add plain flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt to taste and mix well.
  • Slowly add the curd and knead the dough. Add olive oil and again knead the dough.
  • Cover this dough and keep aside for 15 minutes.
  • Press the dough to remove the air and divide the dough into two equal part.
  • Dusting the dough with plain flour and roll with rolling pin. This pizza base size is normally 175 mm and 7". Make a some prick everywhere on pizza base using a fork.
  • Now place a pizza base on cake tin. Open the lid of cooker and put the tin on wire stand inside the cooker.
  • Cover this for 5 minutes on medium flame.
  • So, the pizza base is just out from the cooker. wait for 2-3 minutes and take it out.
  • Pizza base is ready. Now make a pizza by using this home made pizza base.




Tips :

  • For best taste, don't store it for more then 3 days.
  • You can add some mixed herbs for flavouring to a pizza base.
