History of Pav Bhaji :
Pav bhaji is a Fast food dish from India, consisting of a thick vegetable curry served with a soft bread roll. Its origins are in the state of Maharashtra.
The dish originated in the 1850s as a fast lunchtime dish for textile mill workers in Mumbai. Pav bhaji was later served at restaurants throughout the city. Pav bhaji is now offered at outlets from simple hand carts to formal restaurants in India and abroad.

Ingredient :
- Boil potato : 1.5 bowl
- Onion (chopped) : 1 cup
- Cauliflower : 1 cup
- Peas : ½ cup
- Carrot : ½ cup
- Capsicum (chopped) : ½ cup
- Tomato (chopped) : 2½ cup
- Turmeric powder : ½ tsp
- Red chili powder : ½ tsp
- Pav bhaji masala : 1½ tsp
- Black salt : ⅕ tsp
- Butter : 4 tbsp
- Kashmiri red chili powder : ½ tsp
- Chili-garlic pest : 1 tsp
- Salt to test
- Coriander for garnish
Method :
- Wash chopped potatoes and boil it with little salt for 10 minutes or till cooked, then switch of the flame and keep aside.
- And on the other hand cauliflower, carrot and peas put on the pressure cooker and Fill the water until all these vegetables are submerged. Boil it for till cooked and after keep aside.
- In a large pan add butter in it. add chopped onion-capsicum and saute for few second.
- Add chili-garlic paste in it and stir.
- Now add the tomatoes and stir constantly so that the oil is loose.
- Add turmeric, red chili powder, black salt and Pav bhaji masala and stir for 2-3 minutes. Add salt to taste.
- Add boiled vegetable and mashed slice of potato.
- Now add kashmiri red chili powder to get a deep red color.
- Add ½ cup water if needed. Mix it and coock for anothe 2-3 minutes.
- Bhaji is ready, garnish with chopped coriander.
- Serve with Pav with chopped onion-cabbage with lemon wedges.
- The street style dish is mostly made with out cauliflower.
- In gujarat most of housewife add bringle in Bhaji pav. But the flavour will be different.
- You can also replace pav with bread.
