Khandvi

Ingredient :

  • Gram flour (besan) : ½ cup
  • Whisked Curd : ½ cup
  • Ginger paste : ½ tsp
  • Turmeric powder : ¼ tsp
  • Oil : 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
For Tadka :
  • Oil : 2 tsp
  • Mustard seeds : ½ tsp
  • Sesame seeds : 1 tsp
  • Green chili (chopped) : 1
For Garnishing :
  • Coriander leaves
  • Coconut (grated)


Method :
  • First of all, In a blender jar take gram flour, fresh whisked curd, ginger paste, turmeric powder and salt to taste. Add water and blend all ingredients well.
  • Take a pan, turn on flame. Stir and cook until danses. Turn off flame.
  • Take any plate keep it upside down. Put oil on the edge of it. Spread it thin over a thali with a spatula. Keep aside for 5 to 6 minutes.
  • Once cool lift the khandvi from the edge with knife, the roll with fingers.
  • Once it becomes Khandvi, place it in a separate plate and preparing for tadka.
  • For tadka, heat the tadka pan add oil, once hot add mustard seeds, sesame seeds. Turn off the flame add chopped green chili. Pour the tadka over the khandvi.
  • Khandvi is ready. Garnish with Fresh grated coconut and coriander leaves.
  • Serve khandvi as sanck time.



Tips :


  • If you are not making the slurry with the help of a mixer jar and you are preparing this slurry by hand, then take care that there are no lumps in the slurry and a very smooth solution is ready.
  • Cook the batter while stirring and immediately after it thickens, spread it on a plate.
